Did you guys get hooked up in this mobile game called Clash of Clans?

I recently did. It was not the best game but it was pretty addictive for me. The game play is simple, you build a village, defenses for it and soldiers for it. You also mine resources. Then you need to attack other players, join clans and perform in clan wars. The game play is simple and since it is a mobile game all you have to do is tap on the screen. Nothing fancy.

But the thing about this game is that it is too addictive. I didn't enjoy the game play that much but I was setting alarms so that I could process some commands to this game at the middle of the night.

It got so addictive that at one point, after one of my clan mates left, I totally re designed my base to be a mess and then uninstalled it from my phone. Finally, I feel like I've saved a lot of time in my life.

As some of you may know, I operate a blog dedicated to freeware LAN games, and I use Frihost to serve the user ratings portion of it.

I've kept track of the votes that games in my database receive. With this information, I've compiled a list of the best free LAN games based on votes in 2012. The results are rather interesting.

Take a look at the list. What are your thoughts on the games there? (Keep in mind, these rankings were determined entirely by user votes.)

I was rather surprised by the presence of Farm Hands and TeeWorlds. Yes, they are good games, but many gamers tend to be turned off by "cutesy" graphics. I'm glad to see that my readership was able to overcome this bias.

Another surprise was MegaGlest. I haven't played it much. I knew the game was good, but I didn't know it was THAT good.

I also found it interesting that Soldat did not make the list. ...

I've played a lot of freemium online games that are expected to be played daily. Games like Tapped out, facebook games, etc. The kind of games that all try to make you to celebrate every holiday with a long huge event that usually want your life to revolve around their game the whole time.

I'm always reluctant to get into a new game because if I get hooked, it always ends with me gradually stopping playing a game that I've been playing for years.

For me it's about 6 games. How many of those type of (mobile and non-mobile) games do you think you can play every day?

I just got bF 1 - the WWI theme.
I have gotten in the Zeppelin and was shooting down planes.
But the planes, I havn't had the chance to enter one?!?
Are there maps just designed for planes or what?
Yesterday i got a horse.... well well not that fun.
But the train was ok.

I have been playing DotA for 6 years now.
Back in dota 1 days I began playing on the AI maps mostly and would lose all the time :D
Then I played for a while on dotalicious and garena.
Finally Dota 2 came out and have I improved greatly since.

I love dota because apart from the mechanics and skill of the game the difficulty comes from having to learn to out think your opponents.

EVE Online is a space based MMORPG. Ive been playing it for about 2 years now and every second is just wow. This isnt your normal everyday MMORPG like WoW. The market is completely controlled by its players and has a ever changing economy. Players can band together and form corporations and corporations can form together with other corporations and form alliances. These alliances can then go forth and capture their own chunk of space to live in and defend. In EVE there is no leveling theres only skill training which can be pretty extensive at times. It can take anywhere from 30min to 40days to train a skill depending on the skills ranking. The PVP is just NERVEWRECKING! When in PVP everything on your ship is at risk of being lost.

I was wondering if people can list all those FREE browser games that need no installation (or very minor installation) that are played on web browsers like Firefox etc...I ask because working in the office means i cant install anything without permission of admin.


it can be any game but something that wont require much installation (a small addon is ok) preferably no installation and when i mean online i mean that i can play against other people, like an mmo but browser based is cool (pen and paper style, yes d&d nerd)

I picked up Fallout 4 the day after release (PC), and have put a few hours into it. So far I've reached level 11, and am still working on tracking down Shaun at standard difficulty.



Fallout 4 is largely the same as Fallout 3 and New Vegas, and that's not a bad thing. The Boston wasteland is big, and it feels empty. Finding people can be difficult; finding shops is even more so. The readily available weapons and armour available are a bit more

realistic

class="detail"> than in prior games. That makeshift pipe weapons are common, while manufactured weapons are harder to come by feels quite appropriate, and makes finding them a little more rewarding (even when they're mechanically inferior). The wasteland has been proving somewhat dangerous as well. Supermutants seem to be around any given corner, molerats burrow in and out of view, ghouls seem to rise from the dead to suddenly bank you… Ammo is also expensive and, unless you take the perk that increases ammo found in containers, can be hard to come by, making things a little more challenging, and forcing you to be a little more careful with how many times you pull the trigger.
The chat interface is a little annoying in that you are offered themes for your responses, and don't know what the actual content will be; something like “yes”, “no”, “sarcastic” and “don't know”. Without knowing what you're actually saying, these options may lead you down paths you didn't intend. There is a mod, however, that will reveal the actual dialogue options. ...

OMG I hate that game i think its a waste of time for all of you who play runescape get a life and i mean why pay for runescape make your own game start learning scripting languages and image design i mean my friends making his own game with way better graphics then runescape and it will be funner to play but i wont be on it 24/7 like you runescape addicts thats just a boring game i mean like its fun in the beginning but eventually it just gets boring because its so easy what do you guys think about runescape ?

In AD&D 4E, I want to try out Artificer 5/Psion 5/Cerebremancer 10/Crystal Master 5, probably in that order of class progression. (I've got 5E books but I don't get them yet.) The Artificer class (Eberron campaign setting) will help with having options on the fly and the Psion class's augmentation (Psionic Handbook) will help with hitting hard and fast when I need to. Both are spellcasting classes with the same ability score as the primary ability score, so one class is not weakened to a lower ability score. (I'd max out on Intelligence.)

Once I can polymorph via Polymorph Self, etc. then I can theoretically polymorph to couatl form, and gain use of supernatural abilities through the feat Metamorphic Transfer (3 uses/day of the form's supernatural ability, Psionic Handbook).

I am a strategist player and power gamer. I figure as a power gamer I should get +2 to +4 level adjustment. As a strategist player, I should get a +1 to +7 level adjustment, depending on my opportunities to use it, that is, the extent to which the DM and other players can accomadate it or are strategy players themselves. Balance in the game is important. I don't know how it would work out as total character level.

I don't mind other people being other types of players like storyteller and the like. I just don't enjoy RPGs without testing my skills as an armchair strategist. ...

Anyone here play Aardwolf? I just signed up. It's slow, maybe due to server overload? I used to play about twenty years ago at the University of Maine and it was a lot simpler but a lot faster.

I downloaded the telnet client Cmud and there's a lot I haven't figured out about it yet, like how to even get started with the automapper.

I've been a long-time player of roleplaying games. I first started playing in about 1995, playing Star Wars the Roleplaying Game Second Edition, and have played several game systems and settings since. I've never really liked game/dungeon mastering, preferring to be a player, but have run a few games in my time as well.

My daughter wants to play more RPGs, wants me to run a game, and has a preference for fantasy settings, like in Dungeons and Dragons. Problem is, the D20 systems used in the various editions of DnD requires a fair degree of preparation time beyond the preparation required just to build/develop a story. Encounter and enemy stats take a long time to plan out in addition to the narrative. The game system I first played (Star Wars 2e), in contrast, was written with a very cinematic, fast paced rule system, and I've always found it much easier to create with... it had more freedom and less math planning.
So, I've decided to run a game for my daughter... eventually. First, I have to adapt the speedy D6 system to a fantasy setting... do lots of work up front to build a game, and the actual play and narrative, the ongoing effort, should be greatly reduced. ...

Anyone on here got any tips or advice when it comes to using the game Engine Unreal 4.
i made the following map.

can anyone offer any advice on how i would make a multiplayer game, for example where i should begin? any research i should be doing?

I have basic level editing and some 3d modeling skills, is it worth going down the blueprint route or the C++ route i have good programing knowledge but never worked in C++.
